ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tosha Cole Photography focuses on providing my clients with beautiful contemporary pictures and, more importantly, high quality custom products in Bay City, Midland & Auburn, MI.
I aim to create beautiful products that you will want displayed on your walls or coffee tables and not just toss inside a drawer. I am your boutique photography studio that you'll want to come back to time and time again.
Introduction time!
"Hi, My name is Tosha LaForest. I was raised in Bay City, but was born in Memphis, Tennessee. I have been taking photographs for as long as I can remember. I am so thankful that I can share my passion about photography with the world. Thank you for finding me and I can't wait to hear your story!"
Why I chose photography
I love photography almost as much as I love my clients themselves. I love making new friends and seeing families grow. I love watching a high school senior's personality and confidence shine, I love being a part of a baby's first year of life, I love sharing the moment when a newly engaged couple is showing the world that they belong together. All of those reasons, and more, are why I became a photographer and why I will continue to do what I do!
Photography background
I started out my schooling at Delta Community College. I graduated from Delta with an Associates degree in Graphic Design. From there I went on to Saginaw Valley State University and studied photography. SVSU is where I really fell in love with photography. Most of my training was in the classic film photography. Digital photography came later in my college career, learning some in college and some on my own. I am a firm believer in the saying "you never stop learning" and I try to increase my knowledge of photography every day to stay ahead of the game.
Fine art background
I am a third generation artist so I grew up in a home that was always pushing my creative side. Aside from photography I also draw, paint (watercolor and acrylic), create sculptures, mess around with clay, and any other fun medium I can work with. In fact, I first started out as a portrait artist (drawing portraits, of course). I also focused on fine art in college and loved every minute of it.
